Course Description
Come and enjoy a wonderful class that will explore wheel thrown pottery. Students will concentrate on design, function and surface treatments that will enhance their work. Through demonstration and discussion you will become comfortable with the methods of shaping and creating functional works of art. The $35 material fee is included to cover the first 25lbs of clay, use of tools and glazes, as well as firing. You will also have an opportunity to come to designated open studio times to practice your technique. Open studio time is not an instructional time, but a time to work on methods taught earlier in the week and meet with other students to commune and discuss your work. Additional clay, glaze and firings are available. Pricing for those materials will be discussed the first day of class.
