Course Description
Get excited about wood and linoleum carvings & learn about the oldest method of printmaking in this introduction to block printing! We will learn a variety of carving and color-inking methods against rubber blocks to print simple drawings, patterns, and stamp designs. In this class, you will be encouraged to explore your own visual ideas with an emphasis on craftsmanship and print quality. There is a $30 material fee included in the cost of the class which covers the use of your carving & printing tools, your four rubber 4”x6” blocks, and paper.
