Course Description
Workshop is designed for students to complete 1-2 works of art in the portrait drawing and painting from the model under good light with increments of time to allow for breaks. The model will prepare two costume changes in two different poses for the rendering of the portraits. A modeling fee is included in the registration cost. Students will bring the drawing and painting medium of their own choice. The instructor will guide students through an introduction of portrait painting, a series of warm-up exercises, loose and comprehensive studies and the final work (s) of art while working side-by-side to allow for active demonstrations. This is the workshop you don't want to miss!
What to bring: Snacks, water and bagged lunch, all sketching and painting supplies.

Donna Campbell Allen
Donna Campbell Allen first gained national recognition as an illustrator for the best selling novella, The Special Guest, A Christmas Story, but recently as a portrait painter receiving the Best in Show Award in the NAP 2011 Richmond show for her painting titled “Lin”. Donna’s work has been exhibited in national and international shows including the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society’s International Show and in the homes of many private collectors. She has been commissioning portraits in watercolors for over 10 years. Donna graduated with top honors from The IVY School of Professional Art
