Course Description
Painting Studio
Understand paint by working with it—layer by layer.
In this hands-on class, students will explore acrylic and watercolor painting through direct experience. They’ll mix colors, test brush techniques, and experiment with different ways of applying paint to understand how it behaves and responds. Each project builds skill through doing without long lectures, just guided practice. Mixed media elements will also be introduced to encourage curiosity and creative thinking.

Meet your Teacher
Dayna Balough Dayna is a recent graduate of VCUarts Qatar, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. After studying internationally and living in cities around the world, Dayna brings a diverse, global perspective to art education. Her work focuses on experimentation, storytelling, and creative technique, encouraging young artists to express themselves with confidence and imagination. Beyond art and design, Dayna enjoys true crime podcasts, playing chess, and spending time with her beloved cat. |
