Course Description
Intro to Sewing:
Learn basic sewing techniques and create a project of your choice with instructor guidance. Weekly demonstrations will include sewing machine basics, fabric basics, simple seams, simple hems, zipper application, how to take body measurements, and how to follow a sewing pattern. The first classes will be demonstration-based and the final classes will focus on the student making their own beginner projects.

We have taken many precautions to make our studio safe and inviting.
We are happy to do our best to make up time with notice if your child will be absent, although we can not guarantee an opportunity for a make up class will be available. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer make-ups for lost time if you forget about the class or your child is late. Twenty four hour notice is appreciated if you know your child will miss class.

- 18” long x 2" wide clear plastic ruler
- Seam ripper
- Sewing gauge
- Hand sewing needles- a variety of sizes
- Universal sewing machine needles
- Pins
- Pin cushion
- Thread- 2 spools
- 2yd muslin or 100% cotton fabric
- Fabric scissors
- Thread snips
- Paper scissors
- Tracing wheel and tracing paper OR disappearing ink fabric markers
- FEEL FREE TO BRING IN YOUR OWN SEWING MACHINE IF YOU HAVE ONE
