Houses for Haiti
During the months of December and January, ArtHaus’ after-school art students and Robious Middle School’s Interact Club members helped with Sarah Benson’s capstone project to create over 200 “house pins”. The kids, ages four thru twelve, used painted paper scraps, sharpies and embellishments to make these pins. Each one is uniquely colorful and creative. (READ MORE)
On Saturday, February 12th, an open house event will be hosted at ArtHaus Visual Arts Studio on Huguenot Road from 4-6 pm. The house pins will be display for individuals to purchase. All donations will be sent with Sarah’s church, Crestwood Presbyterian, on a mission trip to Haiti this spring. The funds will be used to aid in the reconstruction of houses around Haiti’s capital of Port-au-Prince.
